This site has been created to provide the opportunity for students to discuss pieces of literature, pose questions to their teachers and fellow students, and receive important information related to events/activities/due dates. Ms. Brooks and Mr. Hahn would like to see this site become an online community for all students to feel comfortable commenting and responding to topics from class.
For seniors, this site will also provide an opportunity to ask questions related to Senior Project. Other students will be able to respond, and the blogs will be checked daily by Ms. Brooks and/or Mr. Hahn.
As you post, please remember that the best way to create a community is through respect. All students should feel comfortable contributing to the discussion, and all comments should remain within the boundaries of what is appropriate for school.
When Emerson said we should speak our words "like cannon balls", he did not mean that we should throw them at each other. Speak your words with conviction, but remember you are part of a larger discussion and EVERYONE has something to contribute.
